SRA Closes Loop on Platinum Solutions Acquisition

SRA International (NYSE: SRX) has sold its subsidiary ERA Systems Corp. to Czech defense and aerospace company Omnipol AS for an undisclosed amount, according to a Bloomberg Businessweek report. ERA produces surveillance solutions with sensors and radars and has research and development centers in the U.S. and Czech Republic, according to an SRA brochure. SRA International (NYSE: SRX) shareholders have approved the company’s acquisition by an affiliate of private equity firm Providence Equity Partners for $1.88 billion in cash. SRA Shareholders will receive $31.25 in cash for each share of common stock. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency has awarded SRA International, Inc. (NYSE: SRX) a contract worth up to $72.9 million to continue supporting the agency’s firebird infrastructure, which supports the agency’s core business lines. The firebird infrastructure technology services II contract is a recompete for the company and has a five-year base period and five one-year options. The infrastructure supports investigation,
