Raytheon Awarded Valuable Army Sensor Deal

Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) picked up a $42.9 million delivery order from the Army to provide 57 Common Sensor Payload electro-optical and infrared sensor systems.

The order falls under a 2007 Army contract with options worth a maximum $1.2 billion.

“The Common Sensor Payload is a high-performance, cost-effective solution for the U.S. Army, providing soldiers with accurate targeting, high-resolution and full-motion video, ” said Tim Carey, vice president, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems. “This sensor can be employed on a variety of aircraft, allowing soldiers to accurately assess threats and effectively engage targets.”
