Harris Claims Valuable IT Deal for Army Material Command

Harris (NYSE: HRS) picked up a $77 million contract to support the IT infrastructure for the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) Headquarters building at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala.

Harris will “engineer, furnish, install and test the command, control, communications, and computer IT (C4/IT) infrastructure, which includes audio-visual and video teleconferencing equipment.”

The deal has a one-year base term with two one-year options.

“This award further extends our company’s growing reputation in the marketplace for delivering complex, mission-critical systems integration solutions, ” said Mike Deloney, vice president and general manager of Department of Defense Programs, Harris IT Services.  “We are proud to continue our support to the Army operational commands through this headquarters relocation.”
