CSC to Help EPA Find Dangerous Waste Sites; Jim Sheaffer Remarks

CSC (NYSE:CSC) picked up a contract from the Environmental Protection Agency to support technical operations for the Hazard Ranking System (HRS) and National Priorities List (NPL) program.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by the firm.  The contract has a potential performance period of seven years.

With the deal in place, the firm will assist EPA in finding hazardous waste sites that “pose the highest relative threat to human health and the environment for further investigation and cleanup.”

“We are pleased to continue our 18-year relationship with the EPA on this contract, bringing together geologists, chemists, biologists, statisticians and information analysts to develop innovative approaches to evaluate the hazardous waste sites, ” said Jim Sheaffer, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector. “In performing this work, CSC proudly supports the EPA’s mission to protect human health and the environment.”
