Booz Allen Sees Positives on First Day of NYSE Trading

Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) is enjoying a successful first day of trading on the New York Stock Exchange after announcing its initial public offering of 14, 000, 000 shares of Class A common stock at $17 per share yesterday.

In the early hours of trading, the stock gained ground, reaching $18.60 by 10:30 a.m., according to Washington Business Journal.

According to the firm, “underwriters may purchase up to 2, 100, 000 additional shares at the initial offering price less the underwriting discounts and commissions to cover over-allotments, if any.”

The firm previously traded publicly from 1970-76.
