SAIC (NYSE: SAI) has named Stephen J. Comber to the position of general manager of SAIC’s Health Solutions Business Unit (HSBU).
Comber will be tasked with leading SAIC’s work for federal government and commercial customers in the area, including the DoD, HHS and VA.
According to the firm, “HSBU provides a wide range of services and solutions in areas including health information technology (IT), health infrastructure support, healthcare quality and cost management, public health, and health sciences. The business unit employs 1, 900 workers in 41 states and 11 countries around the world.”
Comber has been with the firm since 1985.
He will report to Joe Craver, president of SAIC’s Infrastructure, Energy, Health and Product Solutions Group.
“Steve has been a key contributor to the development and growth of this business unit and brings valuable insight and experience to this position, ” said Craver. “The health market is a high growth area for SAIC, and Steve will lead our strategy to continue our market leadership in the federal health arena and expand our business in the larger U.S. healthcare market.”
