IAP Soldiers on to Army Contract; Raytheon Books Pair

According to the Department of Defense, “lAP World Services was awarded a $12, 401, 145 firm-fixed-price contract.  This will exercise the second option, third year of service, for the operation and maintenance of the electrical power grids at Forward Operating Bases Salerno and Sharana.  Work is to be performed in northern Afghanistan, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 15, 2012.  Bids were solicited via the Federal Business Opportunities website with five bids received.  Defense Contract Management Agency, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, is the contracting activity (W91B4N-07-C-0075).

“Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) was awarded a $47, 000, 000 firm-fixed-price contract for 250 Jackal passive infrared defeat systems.  This action is a part of the Rapid Acquisition Authority to respond to combat emergencies and has been signed by the secretary of defense.  Work is to be performed in Indianapolis, Ind., with an estimated completion date of Oct. 15, 2011.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  JM&L LCMC, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., CCJM-CC, is the contracting activity (W15QKN-II-C-0001).

“Raytheon was awarded a $7, 626, 474 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the repair and recapitalization of Patriot missile system assemblies and sub-assemblies.  Work is to be performed at Andover, Mass., with an estimated completion date of Oct. 14, 2012.  One bid was solicited and one received.  Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Penn., is the contracting activity (W911N2-09-D-0001).”
