DoD Deals in Place for General Dynamics, Raytheon

According to the Department of Defense, “General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) Information Technology is being awarded $9, 387, 789 for firm-fixed-price task order MU30 under previously awarded Air Force network-centric solutions contract (FA8771-04-D-0007) for dense wave division multiplexing transport networks.  Work will be performed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif. (48 percent); Marine Corps Base Camp LeJuene, N.C. (44 percent); and Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Calif. (8 percent).  Work is expected to be completed June 27, 2011.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured, with eight firms solicited and five offers received.  The Marine Corps Systems Command, Camp Pendleton, Calif., is the contracting activity.

“Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) is being awarded a $21, 347, 340 contract (HR0011-11-C-0009).  This work is for the Triple Target Terminator (T3) program.  Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. (67.6 percent), and Gainesville, Va. (32.4 percent).  The work is expected to be completed Oct. 22, 2011.  The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the contracting activity.”
