CS-Three: Trio of Technical Areas for CSC in $2.8 Billion SSA IT Deal; James Sheaffer Remarks

CSC (NYSE: CSC) is one of four firms included in a $2.8 billion Information Technology Support Services indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract issued by the Social Security Administration (SSA).

The ID/IQ contract has one-year base term with six one-year options.

CSC will work to supply consulting and IT services to improve SSA’s systems and architecture in a number of areas, including application validation and software engineering and technology.

Sheaffer, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector line of business. “We recognize the critical importance that SSA plays in serving our nation and are pleased to partner with the agency in a wide range of software-engineering activities, including validating and testing all new software enhancements, supporting operation of mission-critical systems and improving the integrity of secure services to an expanding population of benefit recipients.”
