SAIC’s Walt Havenstein is a ‘Good Scout’

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) CEO Walt Havenstein will be the man of the hour at the Thirteenth Annual Technology “Good Scout” Award Luncheon at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, Va., Oct. 19.

DynCorp President and CEO Steve Gaffney is the event chairman and master of ceremonies.

According to ExecutiveBiz, “The “Good Scout” Award honors a technology leader in Greater Washington who exemplifies the ideals of scouting in his or her daily life. Havenstein’s contributions began at BAE Systems and are continuing since his move to SAIC a year ago.”

Past honorees include Dr. Bahman Atefi, Alion Science and Technology; Wood Parker, Northrop Grumman, Information Technology; Dr. J. P. “Jack” London, CACI; and Michael J. Saylor,   MicroStrategy.

Boy Scouts of America, National Capital Area Council character-building programs will be benefited by the proceeds of the event.
