Honeywell, L-3 Claim DoD Deals; Boeing Picks Up Pair

According to the Department of Defense, L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) was awarded a $29, 384, 156 contract, which will provide modification to four MC-130W aircraft to install a precision strike package.  At this time, no funds have been obligated.  WR-ALC/GRUKA, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (FA8509-20-C-0027).

Honeywell (NYSE: HON) is being awarded a $10, 645, 531 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 185 advanced multi-purpose displays – 116 5 x 5 forward displays; 46 5 x 5 aft displays; and 23 8 x 10 displays – for the F/A-18E/F, EA-18G aircraft.  Work will be performed in Albuquerque, N.M., and is expected to be completed in December 2011.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-10-C-0061).

Boeing (NYSE: BA) was awarded an $86, 520, 933 contract modification, which will incorporate the fiscal 2010 flying hour/engine cycle adjustment in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in clause H012 of the basic contract.  At this time, $86, 520, 933 has been obligated.  730 ACSG/GFKAA, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (FA8614-04-C-2004; P00531).

“Boeing is being awarded an $11, 969, 818 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-06-C-0075) to exercise an option for engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing labor in support of F/A-18 flight test programs conducted by the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md.  The estimated level of effort for this option is 96, 464 man-hours.  Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md. (95 percent), and China Lake, Calif. (5 percent), and is expected to be completed in July 2011.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.”
