Richard White, VP of Washington Operations at Harris (NYSE: HRS) spoke with ExecutiveBiz about his firms’ Advanced Information Solutions (AIS) offerings:
“AIS is focused on providing cybersecurity and software solutions to several markets. For cybersecurity solutions, we have a wholly owned subsidiary, Crucial Security, that Harris acquired a little over a year ago that’s part of AIS. Crucial offers high-end cybersecurity engineering talent, in all areas, particularly computer network defense, exploit, and security operations. Our digital forensics experts cast a wide net with our enterprise analytics solutions, as well as detailed case evidence collection. In addition to the work we do for the customers that Crucial has, we’re doing similar work at our group up at Annapolis Junction, Maryland, which is also part of AIS. Other capabilities in the group include software solutions for information management, knowledge management, mission management –type activities, as well as doing information discovery retrieval, storage and dissemination, which is the type of work that we’re bringing to conclusion for the Census Bureau as part of automating 2010 decennial census.”
