VSE Grabs Deal to Bolster Iraq Navy

VSE Corporation (NASDAQ GS:VSEC) claimed a $10 million delivery order to provide material and technical support for the Iraqi Navy at Umm Quasar, Iraq.

According to the firm, “the scope of work includes outfitting a new Ship Repair Facility with the industrial equipment required to maintain its ships and patrol craft as well as providing ship repair technical assistance to Iraqi Navy personnel.”

“We are pleased that the customer has chosen the VSE team to participate in rebuilding the Iraqi Navy’s ability to sustain its force, ” said Michael Hamerly, head of VSE’s International Group. “International Group has a long history of inserting new industrial technology into the foreign customer’s infrastructure and through tailored technical support helping their maintainers achieve self sufficiency.”
