Versar Wins Upgrade Work at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia

Versar’s (NYSE Amex: VSR) partnership venture with W.M. Jordan claimed a $7, 185, 824 firm-fixed-price contract for construction upgrades of the existing West and LaSalle Gates at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.

According to the firm, “the scope of work at West Gate will provide for a vehicle inspection facility, truck canopy, and a 69, 000 square foot asphalt roadway. The LaSalle Gate project will include a new visitor center and sentry check house. This project will comply with Department of Defense antiterrorism/force protection requirements per the Unified Facilities criteria.”

“Versar was selected for these projects based on our past performance in providing quality turnkey security gate construction for our Department of Defense Clients The Langley project adds to recently completed gate projects at Andrews Air Force Base, Maxwell Air Force Base and Aberdeen Proving Grounds, ” said Jeff Wagonhurst, Versar president.
