Harris (NYSE:HRS) booked a $23.5 million order from the U.S. Department of Defense for JTRS-approved Falcon III AN/PRC-152(C) multiband handheld radio systems and accessories.
According to the firm, “the AN/PRC-152(C) is an integrated multiband, multimission handheld radio that provides warfighters with advanced capabilities for portable line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight tactical communications. The radio also serves as the dismountable transceiver in the AN/VRC-110 vehicular amplifier adapter system. The combat-proven AN/PRC-152(C) is the most widely-fielded JTRS-approved handheld radio with more than 100, 000 units deployed.
“The AN/PRC-152 is the preferred multiband handheld radio among a wide range of end users, ” said Steve Marschilok, president, Department of Defense business, Harris RF Communications. “The radio has been continuously enhanced and will continue to evolve to meet changing missions and emerging requirements.”
