CSC to Work on Large NGA Contract

CSC (NYSE: CSC) is set to serve as one of 18 contractors to be assigned work on the Total Application Services for Enterprise Requirements indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

According to the firm, “the IDIQ, which was awarded during CSC’s fiscal 2011 first quarter, has a five-year period of performance and an estimated total value of $1 billion for all firms.”

CSC will focus on evaluating and integrating new technology and sustaining applications.

“Our nation’s interests can be protected only when strategic and operational decision makers receive accurate, timely and actionable intelligence, ” said Harold C. Smith, vice president and general manager of Intelligence for CSC’s North American Public Sector. “We look forward to applying CSC’s expertise in systems engineering, integration and operations to help the NGA accomplish its critical national security mission.”
