Walt Havenstein on SAIC’s Donation to USC Engineering School

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) will donate $500, 000 to the University of Southern California’s Viterbi School of Engineering. The donation comes as part of SAIC’s Strategic University Alliances Program, enforcing the firm’s “commitment to supporting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) educational programs that are helping develop the innovative workforce of the 21st century.”

“Engineering will be the driver of the new century, helping solve economic and social problems, from energy, to climate, to health, to sustainability, ” said Walt Havenstein, SAIC chief executive officer. “We look forward to supporting the Viterbi School as they help lead this transformation.”
