SAIC Set With Half-Billion Dollar SPAWAR Deal

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) has been awarded a contract by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems (SPAWAR) Command in support of SPAWAR’s Common Afloat Local Area Network Infrastructure (CALI).

According to the firm, “the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a four year base period of performance, an optional four-year ordering period, and a total value of more than $502 million for SAIC, if the option is exercised. SAIC’s work will be performed primarily in San Diego, Calif.”

“We look forward to supporting the U.S. Navy as they maintain and enhance their overall shipboard information technology (IT) capabilities, ” said Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit manager.
