Qwest’s Diana Gowen on MTIPS Approval

Qwest’s (NYSE: Q) Managed Trusted Internet Protocol Service (MTIPS) has been approved for use by federal agencies to meet upcoming deadlines set by the Office of Management and Budget for securing external access points to the Internet.

According the firm, “Qwest provides its MTIPS Internet security solution in a cloud-based environment that is in full compliance with OMB’s Trusted Internet Connections (TIC) initiative.”

“Qwest has MTIPS in place and is ready to help federal agencies make their implementation plans and meet this summer’s ordering deadline, ” said Diana Gowen, senior vice president and general manager of Qwest Government Services.
