Boeing, BAE, Raytheon Book DoD Deals

According to the Department of Defense, “Boeing (NYSE: BA) is being awarded a maximum $40, 010, 030 firm-fixed-price, sole-source, indefinite-delivery type contract for procurement of items supporting the F/A-18 flight surfaces systems.  There are no other locations of performance.  Using service is Navy.  There was originally one proposal solicited with one response.  The date of performance completion is July 31, 2013.  The Defense Logistics Agency Philadelphia (DSCR-ZC), Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-06-D-004H-THAN).

BAE Systems is being awarded a $17, 224, 065 firm-fixed-priced modification to previously awarded delivery order #0011 under contract (M67854-07-D-5025), for outside the contigious U.S. field service representative support, 69 automatic fire suppression kits, and 98 remote weapon station kits.  Work will be performed in York, Pa., and is expected to be completed by December 2010.  Contract funds in the amount of $17, 224, 065 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) is being awarded a $9, 899, 625 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide engineering services in support of advanced technology insertion and development studies for various weapons systems, including the AIM-9 Sidewinder; AIM-120 AMRAAM (Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile); AGM-65 Maverick; AGM-154 JSOW (Joint Standoff Weapon); R/UGM-109 Tomahawk; Line of Sight/Non-Line of Sight technologies for seekers; tri-mode seekers; and similar applications; as well as XM982 Excalibur; BGM-71 TOW (Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire data link); RIM-66 standard missile; and RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow missile.  Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. (70 percent), and at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed in June 2013.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68936-10-D-0009).”
