Lockheed Martin’s Ray Johnson Funds Education Initiative

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) announced that they will provide $30, 000 to the provide Advanced Placement math and science courses for children in military families.

Partnered with the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI), Lockeed Martin hopes that the initiative will ensure that the children will be provided with the necessary means they need to succeed in a highly technological world.

Lockheed Martin’s Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Ray Johnson said,   “This project will help ensure that children of service members who are guardians of our freedom have access to the best education resources possible.”

With future funding, it is Johnson’s hope that the program will eventually reach 100 public schools.
