SAIC Finalizes NAVICP Deal

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) won a prime contract from the Fleet Industrial Support Center Norfolk Det Philadelphia for the Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) to provide technical services in support of the TARP (Technical Assistance for Repairable Processing) program.

The follow-on, single award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options and a ceiling value of more than $47 million, if all options are exercised.

“NAVICP is responsible for more that 400, 000 supply items, including repair parts, components and assemblies for ships, aircraft and weapons systems – approximately $15.5 billion in inventory, ” said Glenn San Giacomo, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager. “We are pleased to continue our collaboration with the U.S. Navy as we work together to improve the reverse logistics and packaging of Naval assets, while reducing costs and increasing efficiencies.”
