Raytheon’s Rebecca Rhoads on 2010 InfoWorld Green 15 Award

Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) was named to IDG’s InfoWorld Green 15 for its information technology (IT)-driven energy solutions that saved the company $17.4 million in 2009, and that enabled it to leverage IT to improve business processes and operations.

This is the second consecutive year InfoWorld recognized Raytheon for its sustainability efforts.

“Raytheon’s green IT program is a core component of the company’s broader sustainability effort and is a great example of how IT can support our overall corporate responsibility initiatives, ” said Rebecca Rhoads, Raytheon vice president and chief information officer. “Our sustainability program is driven by employee collaboration and innovation across businesses, functions and geographies.”
