James Sheaffer on CSC’s Government Telework Solution

CSC (NYSE: CSC) has launched the Common Access Card (CAC) Enabled – Remote Access Solution (CE-RAS), described as “a secure connectivity solution that allows employees to access government networks from non-government computers, regardless of location.”

CE-RAS offers users the ability to continue working at times when a commute is rendered impossible, or when there may be a sharp increase in work load. The solution is noted as “the only government-approved product that meets security standards and permits the use of non-government equipment to connect to government networks.”

“Telework offers significant benefits to employers and employees, and it presents opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of car travel; however, security is paramount for employers, ” said James W. Sheaffer, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector. “CSC’s CE-RAS gives clients in the private and public sectors a telework solution that is secure and flexible.”
