SAIC Gets Training and Technical Support Task Order from NSWC

SAIC (NYSE: SAI)  has won a task order from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) – Crane Division to offer technical and training support to the U.S. Navy Special Warfare’s Special Operating Forces (SOF), and other DoD Agencies.

The follow-on task order has a two year base period of performance, three one-year options, and a total value of more than $37 million, should all options be exercised. Work will be performed at the NSWC in Crane, Ind., and at other customer locations as required. The task order was awarded under the U.S. Navy’s SeaPort-e contract.

“We look forward to continuing our support of NSWC Crane by helping provide SOF warfighters with the advanced skills, training, and weapons familiarity required to perform their critical missions in any environment, ” said Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit manager.
