According to an article on The New New Internet, Melissa Hathaway was awarded the Dave McCurdy Internet Security Award by the Internet Security Alliance yesterday. The awarded was granted in recognition of Hathaway’s contributions to cyber security, particularly through her work on the Cyberspace Policy Review and her subsequent efforts.
Michael Hickey, the 1st Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at ISA, said “No one in 2009 did more than Melissa Hathaway.”
After receiving the award, Hathaway said “I feel like we have lost the sense of urgency of the situation.” She also highlighted the contributions of her team in carrying out the Cyberspace Policy Review.
