CapRock Lands Haiti Aid Contract

CapRock Government Solutions has won a contract with the US Navy’s Naval Beach Group (NBG) for emergency satellite communications services as part of U.S. military relief efforts in Haiti.  Services will run on CapRock’s new commercial communications suite, CommandAccess, at a significantly reduced rate.

CapRock will work with fixed satellite services operator Telesat to provide the dedicated Ku-band CommandAccess in support of the Navy’s relief and aid projects in Haiti.  CapRock’s new subscription service will provide critical communications to the NBG, which supplies Navy personnel and equipment for amphibious operations including evacuations and the delivery of food and medical supplies after natural disasters.

eatontomCapRock Government Solutions President Tom Eaton said “CapRock has made its business on providing mission-critical communications services to remote and harsh environments.  It was important for us to do everything we could to reach out to organizations involved in Haiti’s relief efforts; whether it be through monetary donations that the company has made, or communications services such as these.”
