Boeing Communications System Reaches Milestone

Boeing Defense Australia, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA), recently announced a major milestone for its Modernized High Frequency Communications System (MHFCS). The MHFCS has been in service with the Australian Defense Forces (ADF) for 130 days.

The MHFCS is a long range, managed, strategic communications system which allows for secure communications over a variety of platforms.

Steve Parker, vice president and general manager for Boeing Network & Space Systems – Australia, said “The 130-day service milestone is testament to the maturity of the system and shows that the team is on target for final system acceptance by the ADF in the coming months.”

“Based on how well MHFCS has performed to date, Boeing is confident that demonstrating the system at international events, such as the Singapore Airshow, will help generate additional sales. MHFCS has the capability to transform High Frequency (HF) communications worldwide and provides nations with the highest levels of global connectivity while enhancing their information security, ” he said.
