ACS Helps State of Illinois to Save Millions

Technology provided by Affiliate Computer Services, Inc (NYSE: ACS) has helped to save the State of Illinois $40 million by cutting costs and enabling state services to more effectively distribute child support payments. ACS currently runs the State Disbursement Unit of the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, which processes child support payments and provides customer support services.

The State Disbursement Unit receives and distributes over seven million payments annually worth approximately $1 billion.

Joseph Doherty, EVP and group president, ACS Government Solutions, said “Our work in Illinois shows how ACS innovation can positively affect both operations and costs. Helping the state to provide improved service and save money is the core of ACS’ mission.”

ACS Grabs Renewal Processing Child Support Payments in Pa.

Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), a Xerox Company (NYSE: XRX), will continue its relationship with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to process child support payments. The state has awarded ACS an eight-year contract renewal consisting of a six-year base and two optional one-year extensions, and is valued at $61 million if all option years are exercised.
