Unisys Awarded Contract to Support SOCOM

Unisys announced earlier this week a contract award to support the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) development of technology solutions for secure data storage, retrieval and sharing. Under the one year, fixed price contract, Unisys will support SOCOM, who is attempting to develop a network-centric IT environment to help its forces communicate and share information.

Jim Geiger, managing partner, Department of Defense, Unisys Federal Systems, said “The Unisys Stealth solutions can help organizations like USSOCOM simplify their networks without sacrificing security, while delivering significant cost savings. This new effort will give USSOCOM and Unisys the opportunity to operationally test and evaluate our newly developed Unisys Stealth solution for storage.”
