General Dynamics Awarded Contract for Stryker Vehicles

General Dynamics was awarded a contract to conduct battle damage assessment and repair services for Stryker vehicles deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to the contract, worth $84 million, General Dynamics also secured a contract worth $28 million for 474 hull protection kits and spare parts for Stryker vehicles.

The contracts were awarded in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Work will be carried out at the General Dynamics Land Systems headquarters in Sterling Heights, Mich.; at the Anniston Army Depot in Anniston, Ala.; and in Doha, Qatar.The repairs are anticipated to be completed by the end of December 2010 with the protection kits and spare parts to be delivered by February 2011.
