General Dynamics Awarded $27M Navy Contact

General Dynamics American Overseas Marine (AMSEA) has been awarded a $27.2 million operations and maintenance services contract by the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC).

General Dynamics will perform full-service operations and maintenance for seven Navy Large, Medium-Speed, Roll-On/Roll-Off (LMSR) vessels. As par t of the contract, the firm will perform crewing, engineering, maintenance, procurement and provisioning.

“AMSEA has successfully operated the vessels in this program for the last five years and looks forward to continuing our superior service for our customer under this new contract, ” said Captain Thomas Merrell, president of General Dynamics, American Overseas Marine.
