News- Northrop Grumman opens new R&D Center

Northrop Grumman announced Friday the opening of a new research and development center Maryland. The R&D center will serve the Electronic Systems sector and will be the leader of advanced technology developments for the sector.

James Pitts, corporate VP and president of the Electronic Systems sector, said “From the ground up, this new facility — with its modular office concepts, and innovative program strategy and planning areas — was designed to help foster a collaborative employee work environment conducive to the timely development of innovative global defense electronics technologies. We’re confident the end result of the corporation’s investment in this new facility will be the generation of a myriad of exciting new technologies and solutions for our defense and commercial customers.”

The new building is designed to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
