Today MetaCarta has released the next version of geographic search software. This new version, Geographic Search and Referencing Platform Version 4.5, offers improved indexing, OpenSearch support, geotagging, connector enchancements, Javascript SDK enhancements, and customer gazetteer enchancements. This new version is now the most accurate and fastest in the industry.
The technology is used across the Department of Defense, civilian agencies, and Intel in order to make searches related to places more quickly and comprehensive. The platform enables the ability to choose a place on a map and run keyword searches against the selected areas and the results are all of the documents, both internal and external, that relate to that key word in the area chosen.
