News- Boeing Delivers Airborne Intel System to Air Force

Boeing announced the deliver of the 500th Combat Track II kit to the US Air Force. The system is an airborne intelligence system used in Air Force bombers and cargo aircraft which improves airframe effectiveness, situational awareness and increases crew survivability.

The Combat Track II kit contract was awarded in April on 2009. Boeing has been supplying Combat Track II technology since 1995 to the Air Force, for around $100 million.

Dewey Houck, director of Mission Systems for Boeing’s Intelligence and Security Systems, said “These systems allow warfighters to quickly respond to changing threat conditions with rapid, secure communications. This net-enabled capability enhances a warfighter’s situational awareness and improves decision-making with tools that speed up information-sharing.”
