General Dynamics wins modification to contract

The National Steel and Ship Building unit of General Dynamics has won a contract modification on a previously awarded US Navy contract. The initial contract was to conduct work on a mobile landing platform for the Navy.The contract modification, worth $7 million, is for work conducted for the Naval Sea Systems Command. Work on the contract is expected to finish by the end of spring 2010.
