Contract Award- Telephonics – $17 Million – Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin has awarded Telephonics a contract to provide support for a radar system on US Navy strike helicopters. The $17 million contract provides for radar repair services for five years.

Under the contract, Telephonics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Griffon Corporation, will provide maintenance support for the N/APS-147 Multi-Mode Radar (MMR) and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Interrogator System. The system is installed on Navy MH-60R Maritime Strike Helicopters, which are capable of providing anti-submarine and surface vessel defense along with strike capabilities.

Joseph Battaglia, president of Telephonics, said “Telephonics is dedicated tot the support and sustainment of these radar systems for the US Navy’s Maritime Strike squadrons. This contract will ensure high mission capable rates and optimum combat readiness for the US Navy’s MH-60R fleet.
