Ceradyne receives contract for vehicle armor

Ceradyne, Inc. has received a contract from Plasan Sasa Ltd. in Israel to provide armor for the MRAP All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV). Work on the multi-million dollar contract began this month and deliveries are expected during 2010.

Ceradyne will deliver the armor components to prime contractor Oshkosh Corporation, who will assemble and deliver the vehicles to the government.

According to a statement released by Ceradyne, Marc King, Ceradyne’s Armor Systems President, stated that Ceradyne was pleased to work in cooperation with Plasan in order to ensure quality M-ATV parts are delivered on an expedited delivery schedule to Oshkosh in order to support our troops in the field.
