Vangent Receives Military Health System Contract

The Department of Defense has awarded Vangent a contract to provide single sign-on and context management capabilities across the Military Health System. The contract, worth $20 million, will provide a streamlined and secure method of accessing patient data by military health professionals.

Under the contract, Vangent will deploy the DoD’s context management and single sign-on solutions to theaters of operation, to better support military personnel injured in combat. The system will also be implemented in the Federal Health Care Center.

Mac Curtis, president and CEO at Vangent, said “This capability will dramatically improve care for our wounded warriors by ensuring better quality and earlier access to comprehensive clinical information on our soldiers facing injuries from the combat theater and undergoing recovery in garrison.”
