News- Unit at Lockheed Martin Achieves CMMI® Maturity Level 5

The Maritime Systems and Sensors unit at Lockheed Martin has achieved CMMI Maturity Level 5.The appraisal was conducted by a third party and ensures that business processes are repeatable, predictable and consistent and are focused on reducing unnecessary costs and consistent improvement.

Fred Moosally, president of Maritime Systems and Sensors unit, said “This achievement is a discriminator for Lockheed Martin and can be an advantage when we bid on future proposals. I’m proud of the work by our Process Standardization Team, program teams and our entire MS2 organization to get us to this recognized level of excellence.”

Tina Schechter, VP, Mission Success and IT at the Maritime Systems and Sensors unit, said “Our CMMI Level 5 rating puts us ahead of many of our competitors. This rating demonstrates to our customers that we use proven processes when performing on contracts – and that we are committed to a rigorous process improvement plan to continue to up the ante.”
