News- Cobham Refueling Pods Successfully Demonstrated

Cobham announced yesterday the successful demonstration of air-to-air refueling pods from the Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport to F-18s of the Spanish Air Force. The pods are part of the latest generation of the Cobham Aerial Refueling System.

Iain Gibson, VP of Mission Equipment at Cobham, said “These ‘wet contact’ flight trials are a major milestone in the development of the A330 MRTT’s tanker capability. This achievement reinforces Cobham’s expertise and position as the world leader in delivering air refuelling solutions to meet the strategic and tactical tanker requirement of air forces around the globe.”

The pods have also been used by the Australian Air Force and have been selected by the UK MoD, UAE Air Force and the Saudi Arabian Air Force.
