Summary:
Reports to Operational Group VP, Defense Affairs (OG VP DA). Assists OG VP DA in managing strategic relationships inside and outside Land & Armaments, specifically within Defense agencies, Services, and Combatant Commands. Emphasis is on long term business growth through relationships and understanding the future Security trends and market development. Identifies and develops alliances and customer relationships with assigned Defense Affairs customer activities, designed to produce long term sales opportunities for L&A Lines of Business. Provides strategic advice to the OG VP DA when deciding upon what strategic relationships to cultivate. Ensures robust preparation for and access to key decision makers within the assigned Market. Assists OG VP BD in preparation for and participation in BAE Systems Inc BD Council. Partners with L&A BD VP, LOBs, and works with the VPs of BD, VP Strategy, and VP Legislative Affairs to ensure coordination regarding other L&A emerging market opportunities. Interfaces with counterparts within LOBs to ensure business opportunities between L&A domestic market countries, i.e, US, UK, South Africa, and Sweden are established, maintained and communicated with emphasis on US, and operates on opportunities to shape new and protect existing business on a global basis.
