Contract Award- Raytheon – $28 Million – DISA

Raytheon has been awarded a $28 million contract by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to lead a team supporting Department of Defense cybersecurity efforts.

Raytheon was chosen to support classified and unclassified Defense Department global information grids with the development of a integrated network operations situational awareness, or NetOps SA, next-generation solution.

Under the contract, Raytheon will support the development of a network threat-detection technology to ensure  security across the global information grid, which is used for mission critical voice, video and text data transmission.

Andy Zogg, vice president of Raytheon Network Centric Systems Command and Control Systems, said “Our work providing end-to-end cybersecurity to the global information grid networks is a valuable guide as we design a robust system to protect the Defense Department’s sensitive information.”
