Contract Award- Cobham – $154 Million – Chevron Australia

Chevron Australia has awarded Cobham a contract to provide fixed wing aviation services. The contract, valued at approximately $154 million, extends until 2016.

Under the contract, Cobham will provide fixed wing aircraft flights from and to Perth and Karratha to Barrow Island. Cobham will use two new 100 seat Avro RJ100 aircraft, the first to be used in Australia.

Peter Nottage, CEO at Cobham, said “The Chevron contract award is very significant for Cobham. It involves the introduction of new aircraft variants and positions the company for continued growth in the Western Australian resource industry market through to 2016. This is a credit to our very professional and dedicated team and I’m delighted that it provides them with further opportunities.”
