News – BAE Systems Wins Two Awards

BAE Systems has won the Innovation in Governance Disclosure Award and the Best Practice Disclosure on Strategy Formulation and Execution Award.

Judges at the inaugural Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards in London praised BAE Systems for being almost unique in making the link with strategy in the governance report.

The company was short-listed in five of the eight transparency award categories for FTSE 100 companies.

The three other nominations came in categories recognizing Best Practice Disclosure on Risk Management and Internal Control; Best Practice Disclosure on Director Development and Board Evaluation and Succession Planning; and Best Practice Disclosure on Audit Policy and Practice.

The ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards reward best practice in corporate reporting.
