Feature Job – Business Development/Capture Manager – SAIC

JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Business Development Manager will assist in all facets of Business Development / Capture activities for the SGIBU, with primary responsibility and accountability in the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle / Unmanned Aircraft System (UAV/UAS) core business and marketing area.
The successful candidate will be an aggressive, hands-on business developer executing all phases of business development — identification, qualification, capture, bid and winning new business from inside and outside of core business areas to meet or exceed the revenue goals of the organization. Provide technical expertise and support to qualify the opportunity, scope, needs, and potential solutions. Assist in developing business cases to quantify problem and solution values. Provide input into marketing strategies and long range business plans for the organization’s business area. Assist the Director of Business Development in developing and executing a strategic marketing plan for the division, which includes establishing a three to five-year growth pipeline consistent with the Division s vision, goals and objectives. Support proposal activities duties to include review teams, proposal manager, “book boss” and capture manager, etc. Present the Division s technical capabilities during marketing events, and at presentations. Serve as the division marketing lead to identify, organize, coordinate and participate in marketing events, such as trade shows and symposiums that support market growth objectives. Work in conjunction with the Business Unit and Corporate business development and communications staff to develop, coordinate and obtain approval for advertising and marketing material that supports these objectives.
