Contract Award – Serco – $17 Million – Army

The US Army has awarded Serco, Inc. a $17 million task order to support the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command (FMWRC). The order is for one year and is attached to the existing HR Solutions ID/IQ contract held by Serco.

Under the contract, Serco will be responsible for helping soldiers and their families who are apart to connect with support and service programs. The service is carried out under the Army OneSource (AOS) initiative which helps soldiers and families to receive resources and information on a host of areas including the Wounded Warrior Program, Medical, Child Care, etc. Serco uses Community Support Coordinators (CSC) to connect soldiers and families throughout the world to AOS. The resources can be accessed via the AOS web page, face-to-face discussions with a CSC or via telephone. Senior VP of the Defense Personnel Services Group, George Anastasi, said “We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to continue supporting the Army OneSource program. It has been a great opportunity to work with the Army since the inception of this work and see the project grow as more and more Army Families take advantage of these vital resources.”
