Contract Award- Raytheon – Saudi Arabia

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has awarded Raytheon a contract for a system based on cooperative surveillance. The contract, awarded by the General Authority of Civil Aviation, will involve the implementation of an air traffic management system throughout Saudi Arabia that will utilize cooperative surveillance.

In addition to increasing surveillance throughout the Kingdom, the system will also improve the efficiency of the present system and increase flight safety. Raytheon will establish twenty-one systems in the Kingdom with support infrastructure. Additionally, the company will set up a maintenance facility to provide support. VP of Air Navigation Services at the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Salmi, said “Raytheon has been an essential partner on this very important project, and we look forward to establishing a long and enduring relationship.”
