The US Navy has awarded CSC a $169 million contract to provide support to the Littoral Combat Ship Program Office. The contract was awarded as part of the SeaPort Enhanced indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract awarded in 2004 and has one base year with four one year options.
Under the contract, CSC will provide business, program and financial management, production planning for the LCS, along with life cycle and systems engineering and support. The LCS system are small combat craft for operations near shore. President of North American Public Sector Defense Group at CSC, Austin Yerks, said “CSC is proud to deliver value to the nation and the warfighter through responsive, effective support of this critical acquisition program. We stand ready to support the continuing transformation of the Navy’s surface combatant fleet to meet the challenges of the 21st century.”
