The US Army has awarded a contract to L-3 Communications to provide support to the Army’s Central Command Kuwait Observer-Controller Team. The $162.7 million contract is for seven months two one year options.
The MPRI division at L-3 Communications will be handling the execution of the contract. Under the contract, MPRI will provide training at the Udari Range in Kuwait for US and coalition forces. Presently, MPRI provides 24/7 range support to train US military units in ground operations and has been providing training in Kuwait since 1999. Jim Jackson, Senior VP and general manager of the International Group of MPRI, said “This program will enhance the skills and preparedness of our soldiers and contribute to their operational success. We are honored to continue to support the U.S. Army’s training needs in Kuwait.”
